Before our return to Athens we decided to visit Chalkidike. We decided to visit the first leg of Chalkidike which is called Kassandra. It is a beautiful place with very nice beaches, splendid view and very vivid night life. The first leg is more noisy and cosmopolitan that the second leg, which is more quiet and much more beautiful. We visited the first leg because it is closer to Thessaloniki. We arrived at Moudania through the way to Polygyros, but we don’t suggest you to follow this road because it is much more difficult. We suggest you to follow the signs to Moudania and not the signs to Polygyros.

We made our first stop at the village Afutos. It is a very picturesque village, with houses of stone and paved paths. It’s worth visiting this village if you are passing by the first leg. Our next stop was at Paliouri for swimming. After our swim we left from Paliouri. Our next stop was at Fourka…but before arriving at Fourka we made a stopover at Porto Ilios…where we admired the infinite blue of sea.

After a while we arrived at Fourka. There we made certain that the area has very vivid night life. There were too many bars full of people. It was really impressing. Unfortunately, we can’t tell the same for the beaches at the area. In our way back to Thessaloniki we were very lucky as we had already returned when a storm blew up.
