14 July 2005 :We got up about 9.00am. First we visited the city’s castle, that is maintained at excellent condition and went until the armory. Next we visited the central square that is found the city hall and the Arena. We followed the commercial pedestrian zone and found the house of Romeo and Juliet. Her balcony is found in an internal courtyard that a small gallery leads. It is very easy to find that gallery, due to the fact that in its front there are thousands of messages written on its walls, or in small paper stuck with gum, a fact that is confirmed from the smell of the place.
Very near to this famous balcony, is found one more beautiful square with old buildings, statues, outdoor market and cafe. We crossed over and continued to the hotel. The time was 11.30am. and the ship was leaving at 2.00pm. We departed for Venice, entering the autostrada A4, with many of us feeling melancholy, as the trip was reaching its end…
About 1.00 we were outside the custom of Venice. We checked our tickets and put our bikes in front of the ship. As we waited, I tried to gather in my mind all these pictures, emotions, experiences… It was very hard to understand how in so few days we saw so many things. I tried to think the next trip, than the end of this one…
