The next day, after taking our well-made, served at our room, breakfast, we left our clothing and luggage at the reception and went to wander into the beautiful city of Firenze. Following the map that the very helpful receptionist gave us, which was talking fluent English, we managed to drive very easily at the back of the city, over a hill, where the traveler can stop for a while in order to capture some magnificent panoramic photographs of the city. Continuing from there, we descended into the town, parked our motorcycle near the city’s center, at specially located parking places for motorcycles, while from there started wandering into the city by foot. We visited the magnificent and enormous Duomo of the city, but unfortunately, due to the fact that it was Sunday, it was closed to the public. So we started capturing some external photos of this enormous construction. We stopped for a while at a cafeteria which was nearby,where for 2 coffees and 2 small bottles of water we paid the insignificant amount of … 26€ !! Continuing from there our roaming, we walked up to the familiar bridge of Ponte Vecchio, famous location for its jewellery stores, where in older times was used to host the tan-yards of the city.
After the required photos and while the sun was heating more and more, we returned to our hotel in order to change clothes and pack our stuff, so that we would continue to drive into our next destination, the city of Pisa, approximately 80 km from where we were. The route was very easy; of course we decided to move mainly through the highway, so that we would reach our hotel fast, before getting too much sun burn. After approximately 1 hour we were already into our hotel. Since it was already noon, we decided to stay and relax at our hotel. We planned to go to see the tower on the next day, enjoying some nice evening bathing at the beautiful and fresh swimming pool at this same day.
